Please excuse the absence

Today is where I run frantically around cleaning and cooking and baking in a vain effort to make tomorrow go seamlessly. 15 people are coming to my home to celebrate the holiday. Holy fucking shit. So try not to miss me too much (yeah right) for I will be busy acting like I know what the fuck I am doing.

Holy shit, how do you make gravy?

Gravy - Open packet, pour contents into pan, add water, stir.

It's quite easy! :)

Have a great Thanksgiving!

You make gravy by driving to Marie Calenders and buying it! If you don't have Marie Calenders, you could try the jar kind from Heintz! LOL

Seriously, I never make gravy correctly... I always get lumps! Hope the day goes well!

Good luck with your dinner. Fortuantely, I am going to someone else's house for this years thanksgiving (it's a potluck so I am not exactly free from cooking but one dish is much easier than the whole dinner). I usually host at my house but I am not up to it this year. I am making cinnamon apples (apples cooked in melted cinnamon candies) and baking some pumpkin bread (in a bread machine).

About the gravy: I could never make it. Something about boiling the giblets and neck. Then take the broth from that and mix with flour. Who knows!?! I must not have been something right because mine never came out when I did that. Make it easier on yourself by buying some of your favorite.

Happy Thanksgiving! mmm I can't wait to eat all the yummy food.
