Stuff Portrait Friday - She's getting married, bitches

OK, so I had like a rough time with this one. I think because I am tired and stressed about waiting for my test results for the potential new job-o. I still have another week. How damn annoying. Anyway, Kristine wants to see:

-A Puzzle
-Your best
-Something old

This is currently my puzzle - my faith and what the hell to do with it. I have had a hell of a time finding a church that I feel truly at home with. I am going to take RCIA classes starting in August in an attempt to answer some of the questions roaming about in my skull. Let's hope it is not a puzzle much longer.

My best. This is a coffee mug from the company that I am currently waiting for news on. I can truly say that the work I have done for them - I have given my best effort. I knew that this was a huge opportunity for me and to waste it would be stooooopid. I busted my ass and can say without a shadow of a doubt, that I did my best. So if I fail the tests, then I am clearly a dumbass. Nuff said.

I believe I have posted these before. That candleabra behind the gay picture of the dog is from the hubs mother. They were totally gross and green and he cleaned them for like ever to restore them to their lovely current level of luster. I don't have anything really passed down from my family so this might be the oldest thing in the house.

You know, except for the hubs. He is almost 40. Fucking Paw Paw.

So tell me if y'all played and I'll come check it out.

You are not stupid. If you don't get it (which I'm sure you will) it will totally be their loss. And they don't deserve you. :)

Yeah, my hubs is going to be 38 (!!!) this month! OMG!

Fingers crossed on the job.

Football Widow pointed out to me that your links are not alphabatized. This is not okay with my OCD ass. I had to fix hers. We need to talk about this.

I went through RCIA twice before I finally finished it and followed through. I am and the revolving door of religion. Grew up Southern Baptist, converted to Episcopalian and then to Catholic after I married the hubs.

Feel free to email me if you want to talk about it. There are still many things I am not on board for, but I figure that will be with all religions. I do like the mass rituals, Eucharist etc.

Good SPF. I played, too.

Not that you need some stupid elementary school good luck thing or anything...

Yeah great choices. Hope you solve the puzzle with your faith. If you ever feel like talkin about it sometime, just let me know. I'd be happy to listen and share my thoughts. Oh yeah, I played.

As far as your faith goes- I'm not sure it is in a church. I'm with the Buddhists on this one that it is inside you no matter where you are.
As far as the job- "Our life is shaped by our mind, we become what we think" Buddha.
Think positive you'll be great!
I played

Dang it, I meant to email you about the RCIA thang. Forgot. I have not been to class lately because I cannot sit for three some-odd hours every Sunday. Clearly, I am no poster child for RCIA. :P I swear to Buddha that once I have the baby, and "recover" I am going to go back to class.

Faith is an ongoing puzzle, that is for sure. I hope you will be able to find a place you're comfortable with, and let me in on it!

Great candalabra.

I think Faith is always a bit of a puzzle and mystery. I think that is how it is supposed to be. We are never meant to fully understand everything- just so long as we believe - have Faith. That is what truly matters. I think that is the problem with "religion" is that it focuses too much on their way is right and all the others is wrong. When in reality what is important is that you follow the "one way" that is in the Bible and that that is where you place your faith. Good Luck in your search for a church. (P.S. I go to a non-denominational Christian church, and I love it.)
I played too

I gave up on all religions and now go to a non-denamonational (sp?) church. I really love it!! I got tired of religions just picking and choosing parts of the Bible that suit their needs and wants. This was the way to go for me. Hope you find your way too!

I have my fingers crossed about your job!

All animals look cute in sweaters...not gay! LOL!

I played too!

I think Faith is a puzzle, but I think you have the same problem that I do...its not so much your faith as it is the particular church communities and how they view people from the outside.

I have gone to many churches and constantly felt like an outsider...even when I went with a friend. Its one of those things...its like their own little club and they are used to each other. I find that daunting.

My faith has never changed. I believe as much or more than most of those people at the churches I visited, but once I find the right community, then I know I will be at home:-)

Have a great week!

I played as well!

I'm with you on faith being a puzzle!

If you 'fail' the test, its not you that is a dumbass. Its the test. Don't even get me going on how flawed tests can be. Especially in a job setting..shesh! I'll be hoping things go well for you!!!

Oh, and I played (but you already know that, thanks for visiting!)
