I can see it coming.....
I took the Pooper out for a walk this morning, right? And just barely beneath the surface, I felt it....There was the slightest touch....if you blazed through life, you'd never feel it, but there it was.
The most tiny sliver of a chill. Now the sun was blazing just about squashing that sliver out, but I felt it. It was there. That can only mean that this hellish nightmare of a summer is coming to a close.
I so love fall.

Fall is more than welcome in my neck of the (evergreen-laden) woods, too. :) I can't wait for the leaves to start changing. But yeah, I had to wear a jacket today! Yesssss.

I've recently started reading your blog (which I highly enjoy, since I am a Louisiana native) but haven't left a comment until now...this post struck me because I can remember that very first little chill in the air after the suffocating summer that seemed to last forever. Thanks for providing me with a sweet memory. And keep on writing, you are a riot!
